That's the way love Goes Babe, that's the music God made...Lefty Frizzell

My funny and handsome husband has a means of measuring just how much I love something. (I am all the time exclaiming with a gasp "I love it!") So, when we are out on peddlin' missions, and the inevitable gasp happens, he will ask me "Okay, how many loves?" If we hit the 4 mark, and a long U sound (love, love, love, looooove...) he knows we must have it. I'm not sure about that long U sound, but I'm convinced it sounds French. And we all know love sounds better in French.

I'm just gonna say right now, that we have some 4 love things on  the way and I could not be more thrilled about them. Oui. Oui.

As we talk about Love this month, I just want to tell y'all that I am SO blessed in love. I have always said, life is good when you are loved. But life is brilliant when you love others. I pray that you all feel that way too.

Let's talk about our home, and how love fits in there.

I think sometimes we all get in to the mindset that we all have to have camera ready, picture perfect houses. Decorated for a magazine, right from the start. We look at magazines, and Pinterest (and let's be honest here, who doesn't love some Pinterest?), and everything is so beautiful and perfect. And we want it. WANT IT!

Some of the best decorating advice I can give is to slow down. Wait for it. Let it speak to you, and invest in what you LOVE.

One of my biggest decorating dilemmas came a few years ago when we bought this brand spankin' new house. It had the bells and whistles, but I just had this decorating block. So, I just waited it out. I wondered if I would ever get my mojo for that house. Finally, I took my own advice and asked myself, "what do you love?"

Well, y'all, let me tell you about some of the things I love. I love me some Jesus, my family, our Midwest Southern roots, and classic country music. So, I literally began building and collecting pieces around those things I love. It worked, and it worked GOOD! And while we decided that shiny house was just too shiny for us, those pieces still speak to me. Because they are about who we are. And they look awesome in our home now!

Last weekend, we painted our master bedroom. Despite what many consider current wisdom, I chose a color that spoke to me called French Roast by True Value.( Check it out, trust me on this one). That room is flat gorgeous! And those love, love, love LOOOOVE items I spoke about earlier?  I can't even tell you how good they look in that room. I am so excited to get these out to you. Soon, Bee Creek Friends. Soon!

So, love your family. Love your friends. Love yourself. Love your Creator. And Love what you surround yourself with! Y'all, I'm just not sure it gets much better than that!

Now, I gotta get back to Peddlin'!

Melissa
