Laura Ingalls Wilder said it pretty well.
"Home is the nicest word there is."
Ya'll, my home is sacred to me. Not only is it my "safe" place, but inside these walls are some of the things I love the most. My family and friends, memories shared, and all sorts of things that make me happy.
Whether you live smack in the middle of town, or out in the middle of nowhere, home is the place we all go to recharge, reset, and refresh.
I've lived all over this beautiful land, California, Texas, West Virginia, Arkansas, and Kansas. It doesn't matter where you live. Inside the walls of your home lies your futures, and your pasts. We smile there, celebrate there, entertain there, and return there with anticipation, every day. Even if only in our mind.
I'm so proud of our "Southern Mid-West Roots." (yes, it's a thing!) :-) I'm never happier than when I'm surrounded and inspired by those roots.
So, all of this was a natural thing for me. Purely organic. You will find treasures in my store that will either make you feel right at home, or long for days spent at home, spinning wool and laughing with people that get you. (With a big ol' glass of ice tea, or a slice of fresh baked pie.) You'll find things inspired by those good old Southern Mid-West roots. I sure hope you love them as much as I do.
I'm starting small, as you can see. No doubt, there will be some growing pains. That's all part of my plan. Right now, I'm working on some things ya'll are going to love! I can't wait till I can spill the beans about it!
In the meantime, just sit back. Kick up your feet, and browse. Find something that reminds you of things you love. And, be part of all of this as I grow.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of you!
Thanks for stopping by, and as we say back home, "Ya'll don't have to run off."
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
